Michael Lauziere
Michael and his wife Renee are Massachusetts natives and have been part of the congregation since April 2010. They moved to Maine from Austin, Texas where he received his Master of Divinity degree from the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2009. He was blessed to be ordained by this congregation in October of 2014.
Mike enjoys teaching and studying God’s word and is passionate about building unity throughout the Church, the Body of Christ. He enjoys eating cookies, the outdoors, football & basketball and most especially time to play with his family and grandchildren. He is just a big kid who doesn’t plan on growing up!
Pastor Mike's days off each week are Friday and Saturday.
Choir Director
Helen Wood
Helen is our pianist and choir director. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Christian Counseling from Liberty University. Her passion is to serve the Lord by sharing His love with others. Helen finds great joy in music and helping others, she also thoroughly enjoys her coffee, being outside, and especially spending time with her loved ones – particularly her husband, Dwayne, and their beautiful daughter, Emma.
Church Office Secretary
Rebecca Brown
Rebecca has been coming to the First Baptist Church in Springvale since she was born in 1991, has been a member since she was baptised in 2008, and after an absence, has recently returned to become the Church Secretary. She got her Bachelor's in English in 2013. Since then, Rebecca has worked at the Barnes and Noble Cafe, the Springvale Public Library, Springvale Hardware, and Tractor Supply. She likes reading, writing, but not so much arithmetic.
Building & Property Maintenance
Bill DeRosie
Bill is our outside maintenance person. He is a retired lumberman who keeps our grounds in tip-top shape: mowing lawns, raking, removing snow, salting, sanding, etc. (You get the drift!)
